Eric Corrus > Some minor tweaking. Almost imperceptable except when viewed at full resolution.
Eric Corrus > An EA-6B Prowler makes its final approach to the flightdeck of the USS Ronald Reagan while an E-2C Hawkeye circles the ship in the background. Just to be certain it was as clear and smooth as possible, I ran the photo through Neatimage once again. It's really only noticeable when viewed at high resolution. Eric Corrus > The first order of business was to adjust the exposure. I did this with ACDSee 8.0's auto-contrast/color feature. It did a good job of bringing out some of the highlights lost in the original.
Eric Corrus > This is how the picture came out of the camera. I had the exposure settings messed up and hadn't realized it until I pulled the photos from the camera.
Eric Corrus > Here, I balanced the color and fine-tuned the contrast. It brought out the exhaust from the airplanes and gave some color back to the sky. I also removed the spots caused by water-mist from the rear-end of the ship. I also ran the entire image through a program called Neatimage. It removes the grain that occurs in the shadows of pictures taken at high ISO levels.
